This week gives us Vita owners a real treat, two amazing games getting great discounts. First of all, Curve Digital’s Thomas Was Alone is featured in yet another sale, but with it only being £3.29, it is way worth that price – it is one of the best indie games on the Vita currently.
Way more interestingly, Atlus’ Persona 4 Golden is on sale for the first time I can remember. It is probably still worth £30, but that price of £14.99 is worth jumping on for most people (and possible me before I bough inFamous:First Light)
Only one new purpose built Vita game launched this week for Europe; Hyperdimension ReBirth 1. This game is one I’m really interested in, yet I wish Idea Factory had launched it with a retail version in Europe like they did for North America. Also, End Of Serenity is a new PSP game launched this week, yet I haven’t heard anything about it.
On the DLC side of things, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita receives yet more costumes, based off the widely popular Toy Story franchise. It is the first costume pack that has interested me in a while for LittleBigPlanet. Also, to accompany its launch, Hyperdimension ReBirth 1 has seen some additional content, but nothing massively exciting. Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends receives yet more costume packs and weapon packs (as if anyone could have enough Dynasty Warriors right). Finally, two pieces of free DLC dropped; with One Piece Unlimited World Red receiving the Dino Master Quest and PlayStation Vita Pets gets an Egyptian Pharaoh costume.
Weirdly, after being announced last week, The Walking Dead’s Season 2 final episode for Telltale is not present, maybe an issue will getting through processing.
Final Fantasy X|X-2 Remaster, Luftrausers and SteamWorld Dig will all apparently be released. Plus, Thomas Was Alone and either Unit 13 or Monster Hunter Freedom Unite will join the North American PlayStation Plus service. Unfortunately, Worms:Battle Islands will be removed from the Instant Game Collection so if you haven’t already, get downloading it!
